My friend Prof Ward,

Shelley will be glad to do what you propose. We commence at New Haven next Monday and at Weester in a few weeks. Whether the experiment will pay you perhaps a few weeks may tell. Shelley wishes we [tray?] to you that he will be glad to receive birds' eggs of you in place of money, as he is making a collection and would like to obtain new kinds. He shall be glad to use ist you in the valuable educational work in which you are engaged.

I had a good time in Washington, and shall probably return there for another course Am having larger houses in Hartford than I had here
