Dear Professor Ward:
We are making estimates
now upon an entire building for my
department, which will mass my col-
lections, now in 7 scattered rooms, &
my lecture room + laboratories all
under one roof. The ^main room of the^ new museum
will be a very large room (100 ft. long
by 50 ft. wide), with spacious corridors all
around it, abundantly lighted with side
lights and sky lights, etc. etc. - This will
be on the ground floor with no steps to
climb to reach it and you could drive
right into the doors with your biggest
cast. Now the one thing we want to
include in our estimates is, what
will you charge to move your
large casts from where they are to
the new room? The distance
