(April 11th, 1881)
Dear Mr. Lucas,
I return list of bird skins, with a check against the names of those species we would like.

[unclear] came last week. On unpacking we found the right side of body considerably rubbed on the most projecting part, the pads intended for its protection having slipped out of place. A little paint will, however, restore its pristine beauty!
