My dear Sir

I have your letter of the 27th

I had sent you a dispatch stating I did not care for the whale and also write you the reasons for my refusal. With the little space at my command I ought not to fill the space I have with a skeleton so nearly alike to the Fintback. The addition [?] building has nothing to do with Zoology. I have come to the end of the space to be devoted to that. What comes next is Geology and Geography --and 78ft is larger than any space I have in the building. [?} A. Agassiz
