ybg Plymouth Monday Jan 2nd 1871 Professor Ward Dear Sir,
Fred received
your kind letter of Dec 30th this Morning I am sorry to hear you have been so ill, Fred thought the non receipt of your letter might be owing to the dis arrangement of the mails consequent upon the late storms, & boy like getting a little impatient as his Boys were all going back from their holidays this week he had a feeling he would be like to be off with them, so he wrote you on Saturday but I think he will now be content to bide your time, & will leave whenever you desire; for my own part I am rather glad of the abstention , as I have prevailed on him
