You will see from all this why he cannot </u live > in Rochester - & I have told you all this because it is not right that you should suppose it is from any want of interest or affection for him on the part of his brothers & sisters - Your Uncle Levi is ready to give him a situation which will give him a comfortable & respectable support - & I know he has many warm friends here who would do every thing possible to restore to him both his own & the respect of others - I cannot but - feel a strong belief that he would merit these _ & that the ten years of trial & discipline through which he has passed have for ought their legitimate effects upon his habits & character - I cannot believe that the incessant prayers offered for him from so many hearts will fall to the ground
