I forgot to say that the Xylobucco is minus the
left-wing. The men declare it ^the wing^ was not loose in the box & careful search has failed to bring it to light. It was evidently just pinned on, & how, when or where it was lost I have no idea - whether here, during the journey, or at the time it was packed in Rochester - It is one of the little birds that came fastened to strips of wood.
