Your two valuable letters
of June 30 & 31 are at hand. Thanks for both, and the enclosure. I wrote yesterday to ascertain if Mr Carnegie is in N. Y. and if I find that he is and can be seen for a half hour on Sunday or Monday I will go down tomorrow night and see what can be done. I am sorry you do not say in your letter that you will positively be in N. Y. to help us engineer the affair to a successful issue.
