I meant to have written you

yesterday, - but this letter may still be quite in time. My conchologist - Mr. Frank C. Baker, - goes to St Johnsburg </u tonight >. So he will probably call on you tomorrow eve and start at work on Thursday morning.

He will </u determine > all your Shells, so far as is

practicable, writing the names on a slip, put with each species. Afterwards you can ^ar your liesure^ copy this on such permanent labels (card or otherwise) as you wish. I hope that you have </u a lot > of large trays in which the Shells may be carried to the </u large > table on which Mr. Baker, with his dozens of books, can work conveniently and comfortably in a warm room. I hope that </s it > your arrangements - for museum hours - are such that Mr. B. can put in full time (10 hours) each day.
