Justice to myself I wish to say, this is the only letterI have received from you on this subject. I answered that I could not furnish the particulars desired. Since then I have –carelessly I admit – allowed the matter to rest without further attention, expecting that a definite bill would at some time be presented I hope my dear sir, you will believe that I have had no intention of defrauding you of your just dues, & that I have now paid the bill very gladly.
