Dear Sirs, -

I inclose a copy of the "Collector's Guide," which is the official organ of the International Specimen Collector's Association, a society whose object is the facilitating of and promotion of an interest in, the collection of specimens. A majority of the members buy at least part of their specimens, and they accordingly look to the Guide for information as to the best dealers. Having been recommended to you as such, I would respectfully solicit your adv't for the Guild believing that it will pay you well. The number of members of the Int. Spec. Col. Asso. - all receive the Guide- is fast increasing, as the knowledge the existence of the I.S.C.A and its most worthy object are spread, and I am confident that the Asso. already including in its ranks such peer-[??] as Prof. D. W. Fish, Prof. of Natural History in Hillsdale, (Mich,) College, will be one of no little importance. The Jany number of the Guide will have an extra large circulation, as at least 2,000 sample copies (in addition to the regular circulation) will be sent out, and a number of copies will be kept on hand for persons subscribing during the year. It would pay you to take a page in this number, for the larger the adv't the more likely it is to be noticed, and this number, being preserved for reference, will be read and re-read again and again by collectors. Our price for a page adv't is $12, cash, and is cheap at that, but if you will send
