Dear Sir, Your favor 16th inst rec'd

contents noted. Your proposition to bring an additional
car load of specimens (samples of which are shown in
Photographs) to our exposition meets with our ap-
proval and I telegraphed you to day that we
would pay the freight on it. I telegraphed you
yesterday for the rate per car- load but received
no answer, to day being Saturday I concluded to
close the matter feeling satisfied that you had
obtained a favorable rate. We will have the lumber
and sash ready next week, in fact the lumber is
there now and I secured the sash today to
be hauled to the Building next week. I have
ordered that portion of the galleries (which your
exhibit will occupy) to be cleaned ready so
that when you come all will be in readiness
