Ward Dear Sir Your favor of Sept & Postal of 30th ult came duly to hand, & in answer will state that the curator of comparative anatomy does not think favorably of your proposition. He thinks that the specimens are in the best shape now for exhibition & as he paid for their transportation from Australia the society would not feel like opposing his views. I just saw him a few minutes ago and con- sequently give you the latest infor- mation I have on the subject. We are all well here & hoping that you are happy and prospering.
